Are all rentals on RedWeek bookable online?

Most, but not all rentals will use RedWeek's booking system. Owners with an eligible reservation (not floating or last-minute dates) will use RedWeek's online booking system by default. If you do not see an option to book with a "Verified + Protected" label, the rental will be coordinated directly with the owner.

What does online booking include?

RedWeek's online booking system was custom-designed to make rental transactions safer and easier for both parties. We provide the rental agreement, collect and disburse the payment, and assist with any disputes.

How does online booking work?

When a renter is ready to book, they will submit a booking request with payment and we will notify the owner by email. The owner will have 48 hours to accept the offer, then another 48 hours to make the name change on the reservation. Both parties should be checking their email and RedWeek Message Box frequently during this process.

What if the renter wants to negotiate a different price?

Renters can still contact owners directly through posting pages to ask questions or negotiate the price. If a lower price is agreed upon, the owner can edit the posting to reflect the new asking price before the renter books it.

Can all owners use RedWeek's online booking system?

Yes, all owners can use this service as long as they have a reservation at least 10 days out. Owners with an eligible week can use the full-service rental service or DIY with online booking.

How much does online booking cost?

Owners pay just the upfront posting fee (options from $49.99), plus a $99 success fee deducted from the final payout. The renter will cover a small service charge when making the booking.

Can I view a copy of the rental agreement?

When will the owner be paid?

Rental funds and/or cancellation penalties will be disbursed to the owner within two business days after the check-in date, barring any disputes. See our full Owner Rental Payouts FAQ for more details.

What is the cancellation policy?

The owner is able to choose the cancellation policy for their rentals. RedWeek currently supports these three cancellation options:

  • Flexible: 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before check-in. No refund thereafter.
  • Moderate: 50% refund if canceled at least 60 days before check-in. No refund thereafter.
  • Strict: No refunds given on cancellations.

An owner may not cancel after a booking is confirmed.

Can I use online booking for last-minute rentals?

Due to the processing time involved, online booking will be turned off 10 days before check-in. DIY rental postings may remain active, but renters will need to contact the owner directly to arrange last-minute rental terms and payment.
