Where can I see my upcoming payouts?
All of your postings, bookings, and upcoming payouts can be found in My Postings, along with scheduled payout dates for each booking. If the payout has already been made, you will see a "View check" link, which will allow you to choose the deposit method and check on the status of your payment.
-
When will I get paid?
Rental payouts are issued within two business days after check-in, before 5:00 PM Pacific. If your renter checked in on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, your payment will be issued on the following Tuesday. Bank holidays or booking disputes may cause a delay.
You can view your scheduled disbursement dates for each booking in My Postings.
-
How will I get paid?
We send payments electronically. Using digital checks eliminates the expense of paper, printing, and mailing of a conventional check, and provides more cashing options for the recipient. Digital checks are very secure, with features such as authentication, digital signatures, and encryption.
-
What are the options for depositing my funds?
Once you receive the email with your payment details, you can choose how to process your payment:
- EASIEST: Direct bank deposit. Connect your bank account for direct deposit. Your funds will be available within 3 business days (US residents only).
- QUICKEST: Print at home and use your bank's mobile app or an ATM to deposit your check. Takes 1-2 business days (US banks only).
- NOT SO QUICK: Receive a traditional paper check by mail. Checks are sent via USPS First Class and take 4-10 days for US addresses, 2-6 weeks elsewhere.
-
What are my payment options if I am not a US resident?
If you are not a US resident, after you receive your digital payment, you can choose one from the following options:
- USPS First Class Mail: Receive a paper check by mail (free of charge) by selecting the "Check by Mail" option. This can take 2-6 weeks, depending on your country of residence.
- PayPal: No charge from us, but PayPal may charge processing or conversion fees if you do NOT want to receive the funds in USD. Funds are usually available immediately, depending on your PayPal account settings and/or age. Please note: the email address must match your Redweek.com email address.
- Wire: We can wire your funds for a $45 fee, deducted from your payout (your bank may also charge a fee for this service). We will need your bank's instructions for receiving wires from US banks. This typically takes 24-72 hours depending on the bank and country.
- Digital check via direct deposit: requires a US phone number for verification (Google Voice offers free US telephone numbers).
- Mobile banking apps will accept the printed copy of the digital check.
If you have a US bank, you can also use one of these options:
-
Who is Checkbook.io?
Checkbook.io is the payment processor that enables us to send payments quickly and securely via email, while also allowing the most flexibility for you to obtain your funds.
-
Why don't I see my deposit yet?
When you initiate an electronic deposit, Checkbook.io will give you the date you can expect to see the funds in your account. You can check the ETA along with the last four digits of your deposit account by clicking on the "View check" link in My Postings at any time. If you have not received the funds by the estimated date, please contact Checkbook.io.
-
How long does a check by mail take?
- For US mailing addresses, USPS First Class Mail takes 4-7 business days after submitting your mailing address.
- For mailing addresses outside of the US, checks are mailed via USPS Global First Class, and should be delivered within 2-6 weeks. Unfortunately, tracking numbers are not available.
-
How long does an electronic deposit take?
Electronic deposits take 2-3 business days to reach your account once your account info has been accepted. This estimated date can be accessed by clicking "View check" within My Postings.
-
Can I change the name of the payee on my digital check?
To prevent fraud, any requests to change payee name require proof of timeshare ownership and identification. If needed, please contact customer service.
-
Can I change the name of the email address my digital check is sent to?
Any requests to change the email address for your digital check will require contacting customer service for additional verification.
-
Where can I change the bank account for my direct deposit?
- Your deposit account information can be managed from within your Checkbook.io account. Checkbook.io's instructions for accessing and managing your account info can be found here: Add a New Bank Account or Delete an Old Bank Account.
- Please note: once you have set up a Checkbook.io account, all future rental payouts will automatically be initiated and deposited to the bank account on file.
-
Do all banks accept a printed digital check?
The printed digital check is legally valid to be presented at a bank. However, bank tellers have individual discretion on whether to accept, so we cannot guarantee success. If rejected, the printed check can still be deposited via your bank's mobile application or at an ATM machine. Alternatively, we can reset your digital check so that electronic deposit or check by mail can be initiated instead.
-
Does my payment preference carry over from one booking to the next?
- Electronic Deposits: Once your bank account information is setup for your initial electronic deposit, all future payouts will be automatically initiated, and you will receive an email notification that your funds are on their way.
- All other payout options need to be initiated when the digital check is received.
- Owners residing outside the US can confirm payment preference each time you accept a booking.
-
Why is my taxpayer information needed?
The IRS requires any US company that processes payments to report those transactions to the IRS when exceeding a set threshold. See the IRS website for current threshold information.
RedWeek, like other marketplaces, is required to collect taxpayer information from you before disbursing your funds, and will be issuing you a 1099-K, or other form as required, at the beginning of each year.
If you have questions about your reporting requirements, please consult with your tax advisor; RedWeek is unable to provide tax advice.
-
Is my information secure?
Yes, RedWeek follows industry best practices in securing your data. The website uses SSL encryption and sensitive information is stored in an encrypted form using military-grade algorithms.
-
Is it safe to provide my banking information to Checkbook.io?
Data security is top priority at Checkbook.io. Their infrastructure uses stringent security checks and encryption.
