Palm Springs Tennis Club is our favorite place to stay in Palm Springs. Top 10 reasons we love it?

10. LOCATION - can't beat the location, right up against the San Jacinto mountains, in the historic Palm Springs tennis district, just a 2 block walk to the heart of downtown Palm Springs w/ tons of shops, restaurants and cafes.

9. HISTORY - It was initially built over 80 years ago, in 1937, and postcards claim its oval pool with two majestic 75-foot palms forming a V over it, was one of the most photographed pools in the word. The Club was a hot spot for tennis legends and movie stars, and the prestigious membership list included celebrities such as Bob Hope and Frank Sinatra.

8. UNITS - they have studios and 1-bedroom suites, but our favorites are the 2-bedroom, 2 bath "Wimbledon" bungalows. They have a full kitchen, living room, and little patio out back.

7. POOLS - the main oval pool (adults only) is absolutely stunning - right up against Mt. San Jacinto, with a few cabanas, lounge chairs, and big retro jacuzzi. One time we actually saw 4 bighorn sheep meandering on the rocks right above the pool - so cool. Old postcards claim it was one of the most photographed pools in the world with its hallmark of two majestic 75 foot palms forming a towering "V' over the pool. There are two other pools and several other Jacuzzis, too.

6. FRIENDLY SERVICE - ask for whatever you need. And much of the staff have been there forever; the first time we went, one of the housekeepers, Flo, told us she had worked there for 40 years, since 1977; crazy!

4. FREE BIKE RENTALS - great way to see the surrounding neighborhoods and head into town.

3. GREAT HIKING NEARBY - You can walk to the start of the Lykken Trail, which goes right above the Tennis Club. Or, just a mile south is the Tahquitz Trail, with the beautiful Tahquitz waterfall at the end. Or, the beautiful Palm Canyon, Murray Canyon, Indian Canyon hikes are just 4 miles south.

2. AMENITIES AND ACTIVITIES: They have so many fun, free things to do! In addition to the bikes, they have board game and DVD check-outs, game room w/ foosball, shuffleboard and pool table, plus outdoor ping pong, skee ball and basketball. Plus, they have a few activities each day, like lawn games, movies, Bingo, crafts, etc. Also, the renowned restaurant, Spencer's, is right on site.

1. BEAUTIFUL HOME AWAY FROM HOME - every time we go, we just feel relaxed and rejuvenated. From the stunning views to the beautiful desert landscaping, to the fruit trees on the property, hiking, biking and exploring the town, we feel right at home and are so glad to have had the chance to get away.

Great resort for families. Kids pool and 2 adult pools. Walking distance to downtown. Next to the best resturant in Palm Springs, Spencers. Fantastic staff and great game and activities for families.

We sent many years staying here. The accommodations are very nice. The tennis courts are great, the pools and hot tubs are nice. The BBQ's new and clean. The hiking near by is top notch and you are so close to all the bars and great places to eat. It was a great place to stay during the tennis tournaments and for the film festival.

We love it here. Nestled against the mountains, within easy walking distance of downtown, and with free access to the tennis club, this is our home away from home.

We've owned at Palm Springs Tennis Club for several years and it continues to be one of our favorite getaways. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to downtown Palm Springs, but tucked right up against the mountains so it feels peaceful and private.

The units are clean and comfortable, with a retro charm that fits the area perfectly. Some are more updated than others, but all have everything you need, especially if you like to cook or just relax on the patio. The pools and hot tubs are well-maintained, and there's even an adults-only pool for quieter lounging.

Of course, tennis is a big draw here—great courts, friendly staff, and a real community feel. Whether you're a serious player or just hitting casually, it's a great setup.

We’ve had consistently great experiences with the staff, and the resort is managed well. It’s a great mix of location, value, and amenities. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a low-key but well-located timeshare in Palm Springs.

Unbelievable location, walk to everything you need. Beautiful setting tucked up against the mountains. My family of 4 loves this place, peaceful yet entertaining and great dining nearby. No car needed for the whole trip. Thumbs up.

Great location in the heart of Palm Springs. There is a 5 blocks leisurely walk from the resort to the main street in town where there are many restaurants and shops . Spencers's, one of the best restaurants in the Coachella Valley, is adjacent to the property. The tennis courts are in excellent shape. There is a tennis pro for lessons and a court director to make matches. There are Pickleball courts available as well. The week offered is the 1st week of the Indian Wells Parabas Tennis Tournament.

Unlimited free tennis (11courts) free bikes, quiet, 7 min walk to downtown Palm Springs, bungalow unit beside quiet pool, resort has 3 pools, 2 hot tubs, 5 star Spenser’s restaurant on property. One bedroom unit sleeps 4 (king bed and sofa bed) spacious, lots of closets, kitchen, 2 tvs, wifi, front patio. Great value. Timing is perfect for Indian Wells Tennis tournament.

We have been staying at the PSTC for many years and have always enjoyed the environment at the resort. Gated grounds are kept up, the pools/pool area are clean, the units are recently updated/clean. Unit has bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen and living room and outside porch in front and back for sitting. Quiet and kid friendly.

We have enjoyed staying at the Palm Springs Tennis Club since 1980 it is a wonderful resort. It is walking distance to downtown, 11 Tennis Courts and Spencer's award winning restaurant which is a local favorite is on site.

IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT. PEACE & QUIET, YET BLOCKS FROM DOWNTOWN. IT'S A GOLF & TENNIS MECCA WITH ALL OF THE AMENITIES THAT YOU WOULD EXPECT. HISTORIC AND CONVENIENT TO EVERYTHING. THESE DATES ALSO COINCIDE WITH THE COACHELLA MUSIC FESTIVAL.

Great resort in a fabulous location. Easily walk to town within a couple of blocks anytime of day. lots of night life. Adult pool nestled into the hills of the desert. Other family pools throughout the resortas well as hot tubs. Nice restaurant on site. close proximity to other eating establishments. airport access excellent . hiking in area. Has aerial tram to Mt. San Jacinto State Park. Less than 1 hr to Joshua Tree National Park. Has a gym .Golf nearby . over 100 golf courses in general area . Tennis on site.

Best location in Palm Springs and beautifully set against the mountain. One full week at the famous Palm Springs Tennis Club during BNB Paribas open (hosted in Indian Wells). Located in the very heart of Palm Springs, featuring a large bedroom en suite with King Bed. Separate living room with 2nd full bath, pull-out sofa, dining area and full kitchen with all appliances for gourmet meals. Two TV's, fully air-conditioned. Clean Gas BBQ's, ping pong, bicycles, World Class tennis courts, 3 pools, in-ground hot tub, covered free parking. Sleeps 4. Check in Friday, March 14 and check out Friday, March 21. So much to do within walking distance, or venture out for hiking, golf or shopping. Washer and dryer in building.

Beautiful and quiet resort tucked against the mountain in a perfect Palm Springs location. It's a short walk to the main drag of Palm Canyon Drive, but far enough away to be absolutely quiet. Mountain provides earlier shade in the afternoon to protect you from the desert sun. Lovely pools, hot tubs, and well-maintained, beautiful landscaping. The rooms have a full kitchen and have been recently updated. Staff is friendly and responsive. I plan to stay here again and again. What a perfect oasis in the desert.

We love that we can walk downtown to eat at all the amazing restaurants. Also have a full kitchen if we want to stay in and cook. If you enjoy playing tennis, the tennis club can arrange matches for you. We have been coming to this resort for 10 years!

Ideally located just blocks from downtown Palm Springs, this unit offers three pools and hot tubs, laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, and an en suite master bedroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds. There is a full bath in the hallway, and the living room has a pull-out bed on the couch. This unit is close to the family pool, with a private patio in front and back.

A great place to stay. A great place for tennis. Convenient to downtown Palm Springs. Has a wonderful restaurant.

Palm Springs Tennis Club is one of the most Beautiful, Peaceful, and also exciting resorts I have enjoyed visiting throughout the years.

The Staff is impeccable, and the variety of activities offered at this resort are innumerable.
