    Per the owner:

    We purchased our Channel Island Shores week in 1984 and have enjoyed 39 years of yearly visits. The management and staff and BOD have been very good and cost-aware. The area is great with outstanding wine tasting near by. We could drive from our Santa Maria home in 2 hours and enjoy the beach, wine country, amusement parks hot tub, outdoor grill, and the closeness of nearby towns such as Santa Barbara. Also, we could rent extra time in the winter for dolphin and whale watching on tours from near by Ventura harbor. There are many public golf course nearby. As I retired and moved back east, I am limited in my ability to travel back to CIS. I have made many inexpensive trades through GPX to other resorts in Carlsbad, Napa Scottsdale, Tahoe, and Las Vegas. A very friendly comfortable vacation stop close to the Pacific Ocean.

Channel Island Shores lies just steps from a pristine beach while also boasting a central location that makes exploring neighboring cities quick and convenient. The resort offers Wi-Fi access, a library, beach chairs, body boards, sand toys, board games and gas barbecues to its guests.

    The one and two-bedroom suites at Channel Island Shores sleep from four to eight people. All units include full kitchens, full bathrooms (two-bedroom suites have one-and-a-half or two baths), TV and DVD player. Some units also include elevated features like a fireplace, in-room washer and dryer, and a private outdoor spa.

    Water activities begin at the beach and just a block away from the resort. Boating, scuba diving, and swimming also are offered nearby! Deep-sea fishing is very popular, with an abundance of interesting catches to be reeled in along the coast. Back on shore, play a round of golf just five miles away or enjoy one of the area's tennis courts. All the attractions of Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and Malibu Beach are within driving distance.
