Resting at the southernmost part of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Club Wyndham at Fairfield Sapphire Valley occupies 5,700 acres of natural beauty at an elevation of 3,100 feet. The resort has both an and outdoor pool, a park with picnic area, an 18-hole PGA golf course, and eight clay tennis courts. A health club with an indoor pool and exercise equipment adds to the list of on-site amenities. Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, putt putt golf, and canoeing are other popular activities. From mid-December through mid-March, the resort operates three ski slopes. Nearby towns offer restaurants and specialty shops. Jacuzzi tubs are featured in the units as well.
