Per the Owner: The very first time we visited the Massanutten Resort we weren’t expecting what we were about to see. Driving along the winding roads towards the resort we were amazed by the sceneries. As soon as we entered the resort premises, we were in awe of its natural beauty along with some striking structures. One of the main attractions is the massive indoor/outdoor water park. You can easily spend a day or two enjoying the spiraling slides, high speed ones; multiple bubbling baths indoors and a lazy river ride; even an indoor surfing experience. The air we breathe felt clean and fresh. I was so surprised that there was no trace of pesky insects (mosquitoes, flies, gnats, sand fleas, etc) that could have ruined our stay. This experience is the same for the whole resort and even in the Shenandoah national park area itself. Kayaking and tubing along the Shenandoah River (3 miles) takes about 3-5 hours and you’ll enjoy every minute of it. There are multiple indoor and outdoor swimming pools in various resort areas. A multi sport gym with racket ball, basketball and family adventure park are part of the resort. There are numerous activities (hiking, fishing, wine tasting, horseback riding, carriage rides, etc) and sports (go kart racing, mini golf, street curling, pickleball, etc). Driving around the resort area it's normal to see a herd of deer grazing on the pastures along the sides of the roads or even the parking lots. This is truly an amazing place, and we had an unforgettable experience. There are so much more to do in Massanutten Resort especially in the wintertime. If you’re an avid skier or snowboarder this can be your annual ski trip. There are also ice skating and snow tubing.
