Per the owner:
When we visited Carmel Highlands as potential buyers years ago, we were enchanted with the location on the Pacific Ocean. We fell in love with the bar that hangs over the cliff. While enjoying a cocktail or light supper, the rocks, the Cypress trees and the waves are right below. Watching the sunset from the bar sold us on the Highlands and is still one of our favorite things to do. The ocean view from our unit is also exquisite. We look south from the deck. We love how the ocean sparkles in the afternoon sun and the rocky, green peninsula beyond is gorgeous in any light.
The landscaping of the entire property has gotten more beautiful as the years have gone by. The maintenance of the property is excellent! Recently the unit interiors, the walkways and decks, and the gardens, have all undergone a complete upgrade. The high standards that sold us have been maintained and are excellent!
The location just South of Carmel along Hwy 1 allows for many enjoyable picnics and hikes on the beaches and in the many parks. There are quiet roads to enjoy by foot or car in the pretty area behind the resort and on through Fern Canyon. Carmel, Monterrey and Carmel Valley provide wonderful shopping, restaurants, history and nature.
All this while you have a home base in your unit where the kitchen is available to have a simple breakfast or enjoy cooking and eating “at home” as much or little as you prefer. The fireplace and TV offer quiet, cozy entertainment of your choice. The Highlands pool and exercise rooms as well as outdoor seating areas and fire pit all make your stay perfect.
Another perk is you can stay for your entire seven days each April/May or you can book a couple of shorter stays in other units and enjoy different views and seasons.
We treasure our many visits to the Highlands. Now as seniors it is time to let go. We welcome you to buy in and begin finding your favorite things about the Highlands. Welcome!
