WARNING!!! Torrenza resort at Mazatlan is a fraud, dont buy !!
Please dont ignore this message
Its has been very hard for us to get in touch with someone there, they are thieves and in addition they are cowards who do not have the courage to answer my emails
At the presentation, Torrenza tried to sell us a timeshare and in order to do so, they guaranteed the purchase of our Mayan timeshare for 49,900 USD and because they were still under construction they offered us to rent Torrenzas timeshare for five years to give them time to finish the construction. They rushed us to sign the paperwork without giving us time to read them.
At the presentation they told us that they would rent it for us, but when we were signing, they gave us an affiliation with Sierra rentals which is the company that take care about the rentals and resales, all the presentation was based on it and one time we signed they just said there are no guarantees.
The seller made us believe that they would sell our Mayan property and after speaking with this company we discovered thats a lie.
We went back to our sales person with some questions since we did not get any paper that stated the resale of our Mayan property. We asked the salesman for it and he refused. We asked the manager to cancel the contract. We told them we were in our 5 days right to cancel and he refused to it, stating that we had waived that right because our contract for some reason was active already.
What they did is illegal, they are liars.
I made a blog to spread the word about this scammers the url is: http://torrenzamazatlanfraud.com/ if you experience something similar please leave a comment.

You might get in touch with Profeco, the consumer advocate agency in Mexico. They have helped many people who have been lied to and defrauded concerning timeshares in Mexico ..... you can 'search forums' for Profeco to find how you can get in touch with them. Good luck.
BTW, it's Mexican law that you have five days to rescind. If they refused to honor your rescission, then that's against the law and you certainly have grounds to get your money back ..... Profeco will help you.

Try the following lawyers. http://www.gonzalezgonzalezlawfirm.com/ We signed in April 2009 and then tried to contact Torrenza, with no luck. Finally found this group of lawyers and they have just informed us that the contract has been cancelled and we should see a refund in the next four weeks.

Did you receive a refund? I also signed in April and only found out this week that the whole deal is a fraud after Sierra Club refused to send me the 'resale' $ promised for listing my other time share. I still have an outstanding balance with Torrenza and will immediately block all future transactions.

I made the mistake of signing with Torrenza a few weeks ago. Has anyone had success with Gonzales and Gonzales, the Mexican law Firm that says they can get your contract cancelled. If so, I would like to know how I can verify that they can do what they say they can do and that they are a reputa

I considered contacting these Gonzalez & Gonzalez folks, but I saw this:

I contacted Gonzales & Gonzales last fall. I spent about an hour on the phone with their "local" representative and followed up witht he faxed documents. I never heard a word from them. I filed with Profecta and they contacted me several times but nothing happened. I called my credit card company, explained what happened, and filed the same documents indicating fraud with them. It took months, but VISA got ALL my money back. I fell for their scam on April 2, 2009 and finally received my money back on March 17, 2010. It's never too late to try and reverse the charges if you used a credit card for the initial payment and or any monthly payments.

WE bought last year , and have never recived any package as promised, no member card or any thing. Tried calling, no answer. They also put through our payment twice and we revoked one through visa. The maintance free is increased ans we were told we would get refunded, nothing yet. We also were back there this year and nothing but a hole in the ground and heard they were ceased on building any thing until further notice. What should I do to try and get out of this agreement? Thank you and await your reply
Joyce D.
Yea, we were taken also. We canceled within days of signing when we decided that the what was promised to us was a very long way from the hole in the ground that currentmy exists. Here it so 9 months later and we have not been able to recover our money.
See the whole story at http://www.torrenxa.biz
This has not been a good experience for us. Feel free to email with any questions. I have full documentation and a story to share. Just don't give Torrenza any money!

Sorry,
Web site above should be http://www.torrenza.biz/
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY
It will be very difficult to get your money back if you decide you are not getting what you payed for. For me, I have not been able to get my refund since February of 2010.

July 2012 -- another fraud --- I was contacted to sell my Torenza time share to a company called First Element with the escrow agent as Green Mountain. Both companies were in the USA ( Ohio & Texas) --- stated they needed a majority of shares to take ownership in the bankruptcy court.
