Timeshare Advocacy International
You are not alone. Over the past 4 years I have spent $2,700 to time share outfits who guaranteed rental of my time share. I gave up, paid off the $60K loan to Shell, and let it go. I could not find a charity to gift the time share to due to high maintenance fees . . . $4,500 year. Time was never available when I wanted to use the timeshare, and I generally had to book 12 to 18 months in advance. Pay your loan off, get rid of it.

Where is your TS? With MF of $4,500 you must have more than one week. When you say pay it off and get rid of it, I understand the 'Pay It Off' part, but how would you recommend 'Getting Rid Of It'? By the way, I just messaged you on the 'Getting Rid Of A TS' forum.

What does your 'timeshare advocacy' group/company do? Can you help us get rid of our timeshares since we can't sell them, donate them, or even give them back??? The maintenance fees are a horrible burden. Isn't there some group that can take this issue to the government and help us out (bail us out) of this problem?

After visiting your website, you make the following claim:
"Timeshare Advocacy International, LLC works with anyone battling fraud or misrepresentation within the timeshare industry by helping identify and assist in holding timeshare companies accountable to comply with the each states real estate commission laws. We assist you in communicating with your States Attorney General. Timeshare Advocacy International, LLC can assist you in the proper ways to cancel timeshare contracts due to being misinformed, misled, coerced, or lied to."
People do no have to pay you to get in touch with attorneys general to file a complaint .... they can do that themselves free of charge.
Also, you say you can "assist in the proper ways to cancel timeshare contracts due to being misinformed, mislead, coerced or lied to" .... the only thing legally binding concerning a timeshare purchase is what is WRITTEN in the CONTRACT not what was verbally said .... one cannot prove that they were lied to or coerced unless they tape recorded the presentation.
So, I am going to ask you how you can assist people that have supposedly been lied to? I will be waiting for your answer.

That is a very good question. You do not need to pay to write to any of the agencies we recommend our clients write to, but to do so in a coordinated way with the correct information is what our clients pay for. Many think that they have been misrepresented when they have not, additionally, many sign into contracts with the belief that the person on the other end has their best interest at hand when in fact they do not. If you research you will find that in timeshare regulations in many states it is illegal to go into a contract with false information given at the table. Even if they sign a contract stating otherwise.
Hope this answers your question.

No, it doesn't answer my question ... unless a verbal presentation was audio taped then there is NO proof whatsover WHAT was said by WHOM .... again, it's only what's in the written contract that is legally binding .... therefore NO ONE can help anybody get their money back due to what he said/she said in a presentation, it just doesn't work that way in real life and if your business model is based on that then you'll soon be out of business ..... ask any lawyer.

They helped our family get out of our timeshare mess. It took them less than 4 months. Keep in mind that they don't do all the work for you. You'll be doing some of it (mail several letters which they prepare and a couple of phone calls). But we feel blessed that we came across them after much research. And trust me, there are alot of scams out there. I would say that they are really good at what they do. They have a solid team of professionals that really know the industry inside and out. Good luck with your timeshare situation.

I am really confused about Timeshare Advocacy International. They seem legit to me. However, I have been duped two times now in the timeshare business and don't want it to happen again. Could anyone recommend any avenues for how to research them some more? A money back guarantee...it seems hard to beat.
Please help.

If they ask for any type of upfront fee then I would not do business with them ... I have asked them to tell us here on Redweek's forums what their business model is but they haven't replied .... I would be very leary.
Have you read this entire thread ????
