Construction Progress Reports-Frenchman's Cove, Photo's?

Does anyone have any recent construction progress reports and photo's for Frenchman's Cove, St. Thomas? Please post them here.

I would love to see some as well. We use to get photos from Marriott as an update on the constriction progress, but did not get any since August 2006.

After seeing this thread yesterday, we called today to find out when Frenchmen's Cove will open. They said Feb 16 (Presidents week). They also sent 7 pictures of the rooms and an outside shot. It looks really nice. I'm sure with the construction continuing for a few more years, there will always be something (construction)going on. We will be there in March. I'd post the shots but it doesn't look like I can post pictures here. If there is a way to post pictures, let me know. I emailed them a few months back asking for more pictures on their website. I was told they depended on the construction company to supply them, and they hadn't. The pictures they sent today were taken by an employee at Frenchmen's Cove. Now we know we won't be sleeping on the beach when we get there.

My hopes are high only because it's a vacation and we can stay there! Will it be perfect? Probably not, but I know for the next few years, it's going to be a zoo, with the ongoing construction. The pictures I received were date stamped with the 22nd for the date (no month or year) and the times were all around 5AM. The time was obviously set wrong. 7 shots total. One cool shot was from in the room, looking through the doorwall, with a Carnival ship leaving port. Does that sound familar?

The format is awful. You have to go up and down and side to side to see. No date stamp on them so I don't know when they were taken. I am trying to get some better ones from a friend.

Enjoy St. Thomas. Let me know if all is well there. I'm sure there will be some small problems but remain in the positive for a great time. If you get a chance go to St.Johns. Send pictures of the resort please.
