Tahiti Village

bad service

Nov 28, 2006

We are appalled that this should be considered a 5 star resort. The staff do not know the meaning of the word.

Useless facilities and incorrect information is the norm for this 4th rate place.

The saving grace is that the rooms themselves are spacious.

Will be complaining to my club when I get home. If anyone actually likes this place then try The Royal Savoy in Maderia, you will faint at the luxary surroundings and facilities not to mention the outstanding staff.

We wasted our money coming here.

What exactly was lacking in the customer service? I understand the resort is not yet completed; was this an inconvenience?

Please let me know exactly what you didn't like about Tahiti Village because I just upgraded and I would like to know why you didn't like it.

We just stayed at Tahiti Village and did not experience bad service. We needed a light bulb replaced and some extra supplies and they were there promptly. What was your situation? They are still under construction so this has to be taken into consideration.

What on earth disturbed you so badly? As a very pleased owner, I surely would like to know. Outside of the ongoing construction which will ultimately make it a one-of-a-kind with it's own restaurant and other exclusive amentities, I found no fault with the facility. Because it was just recently opened in April 2006, there could be some staff inexperienced issues. However, my family loves the place, especially it's convenient location on the strip and closeness to the airport. We're looking forward to the completion of the facility and enjoying our annual visit to Vegas.

We hope you will try visiting Tahiti Village again once construction is finalized.

I found the staff friendly, they printed my boarding passes for my return flight. We had a medical emergency when I was there and the staff was helpful and guided the 911 response righty to our unit.

My husband and I purchased the works at this place prior to construction. What a mistake. Shortly after opening in June 2006 we took friends with us to stay at our "wonderful condo". NOT. Construction noise was 6am until dark, unfriendly, rude and inexperienced staff. They "accidentally" put us in a handicapped suite for 3 days until we complained. The pool wasn't done, they said it would be. Just one mess after another. We tried for a year to get our week back, they shuffed us around from person to person, always promissing we'd get somewhere.......we never did. I'd like to dump this thing like a hot potato.

I agree with being unhappy when it first opened, HOWEVER, I do take into consideration that it is STILL in opening mode. I cannot expect great service when it is still a work in progress. I DO LOVE the location as well as the HUGE Pool. IT is still growing, therefore, I expect a couple of more glitches...BUT I am hoping for the BEST when it is ALL complete!!!

Wow! i just read all kinds of complaints and couldn't agree with any of them. My husband and I absolutely love it. The location is perfect, so close to all the action and still quiet and relaxing. We had a great time at the pool and just as much fun at Tahiti Joes. We were there in May and are planning our next trip in July. We can't wait to see what it's like when it's complete.

Thanks for your response. When you consider the resort is a minimum of 18 months behind schedule, I don't see what "happy is". Bad serivce, cheap furniture, bad staff and a mess. As to the location, it also stinks. Who wants to take a cab, rent a car to be at a Casino or Restaurant???

Go to the Marriott Waiohai Poipu Beach resort to see what something nice is.

I agree with Hillarye. I've never had bad service at Tahiti Village. I've been there several times and have enjoyed each time. In fact, I just purchased a timeshare resale at the Tahiti Village and will look forward to when I can go to Vegas to enjoy my new ownership.

What bad service?! the poster should be specific if she/he wants to criticise. I have been there twice this year (March & June) and the grounds were beautiful, we did not notice any construction noise, altho they are still building, the staff was very friendly and we found the free shuttle (each 1/2 hour) to be fine for our trips to the strip. At certain times of the day, I did notice the airport noise when in the pool area. The other guests are so friendly - I think it is a timeshare thing as few ppl are friendly at hotels. The pool is big and never felt crowded, as there are 7+ areas to enter the pool, so there isn't just one place they cluster. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, and we loved it!

We just returned from 7 days at Tahiti Village. I thought the resort was great. The room was very nice, lots of room, nicely laid out and very clean. The service was superb, pool area was excellent. You have to remember that those of you who are complaining that are owners, you did know when you bought that it was not completed. We did the owners update and were graciously provided with show tickets , buffet tickets and a tour all at no cost. I love this place and am very happy with my purchase. There will eventually be 3 pools just like the one there now, 3 more resturants, 4 more hot tubs, a lazy river and a put, put golf course. I cant wait!!!

I have owned Tahiti village for 3 years and have never been able to use it.

First let me give you some back ground on my experience with Consolidated Resorts. 2 years ago my wife and I bought a Royal Tahitian 1 week yearly floating. As part of our purchase they gave us the usual sales that we could split up our unit into 2 units, rent one and use the other or just use it 2 weeks out of the year. They stated that we could get the rooms for $77 dollars a night. Plus they gave us the standard misleading lines that we could refinance it because it was a deeded property. They also gave us 6 free vacations which I have found out to be totally worthless. We purchase the floating and the more expensive unit thinking that it would give us a higher rating to get the weeks and days that we want. Since we have purchased this property we have not been able to use it once. Every week we have chosen has not been available. We have also found out that if we can not get a date locked in, we can not exchange it. Several times they said we needed to pay “Additional Fees” because we bought into Phase 2 and it was not complete. We paid those fees only to find out nothing was available. Last fall I decided to sell it and I have not had a single offer yet. I have also learned that Consolidate has been renting out the time share on Expedia and Hotels.com. This is in direct violation with our contract. Plus the deed that I was given for Phase 2 is not really in Phase 2 Since then I have started researching Consolidated Resort and found that there have been many complaints made to the BBB, FTC, AskExperts.com and ripoffreport.com concerning them. I currently have 20 owners willing to fight this company.

If you would like to join our lawsuit - email me at frose@bellsouth.net

COULDN'T DISAGREE MORE! My husband and I originally bought at Tahiti and the upgraded to Tahiti Village before it was even open. We had stayed there several times with no problem. We have always been able to get the week(s) we wanted. We had my sister and a friend come with us for Christmas one year. We have rented it for enough to pay for our maintainence fee , we let our kids trade for a place in Aruba and we have traded it to go to Branson, MO. We actually traded the smaller side for a larger unit in Branson. No complaints about any of this. We plan to split our 2 bedroom and stay out there for 2 weeks in March to get away from the harsh New England winters! My only wish would be that we could do direct trades for their places in Hawaii and Florida1
