Wonderful resort. Well appointed and large spacious rooms. Staff is very helpful and daily housekeeping is great. Definately the most upscale resort we have traded into--after 14 years of trading timeshares!! Traffic can be an issue here and must be factored in for day trips. Would love to come here again. Judy

My wife and I stayed at the Meadows 6/8/07- 6/15/07. If you want a beautiful place to stay and just relax THIS IS IT! We felt totally pampered at the tranquility pool. It was not at all crowded. The restaurants were very good. Thirty minutes from downtown San Diego if you drive at the right time of day. A great stay we will go back.

We purchased one week of Four Season Residence Club 2 months ago. We love it so much that we are in the process of purchasing our second week. The service is impeccable, the grounds are beautiful and very kids and pet friendly. A+++

Just stayed at this resort and must say it is very nice. Went first week of October and stayed in the Meadows building, probably only 10 people at the pool at a time, very relaxing.
Units are large and have everything you would need and the staff is attentive to try to help with anything extra you may need.

We bought a 2 BR week sight unseen based on the reputation of 4 Seasons hotels. After spending a week there in the first week of August 05, we were so delighted that we bought another 2 BR Unit week.
The resort is absolutely fabulous. My children had a great time in the Hotel's game room, pools and the tennis courts. We loved the exclusive neighborhood and the unparalleled quality of service and attention to detail. The maintenance fees are a bit steep, but worth every penny if you see what you get for it.
We are awaiting their Costa Rica and Mexico Residence Clubs to be completed so that we can exchange there.

This is the ultimate place for fun and relaxation with the beautiful surroundings & amenities and impeccable service from the staff. I have timeshares at Marriott (Palm Desert and Newport Beach in California). This four Seasons residence club is in Major League if Marriott is in Minor League.

THE STANDARD BY WHICH OTHER RESORTS SHOULD ASPIRE TO! DAILY MAID SERVICE, BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED OVERSIZED VILLAS, LUXURIOUS TOUCHES SUCH AS ROBES, METAL CRIB AND FLUFFY LINENS --- WE REQUESTED THEM TO BABYSAFE THE ROOM AND WE FELT SO MUCH SAFER AFTER ARRIVING!
CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN TO VISIT ALL THE SITES OF SAN DIEGO AND LAY BY THE POOL!

This is an outstanding resort. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The unit we stayed in had 2 BR and 2 1/2 baths (about 1700 sqft) Concierge service was excellent and daily maid service is included. (Both worthy of nice tip.)
The golf course was beautiful, exciting and difficult. Very fast greens! Reasonable for vacation golf with guest/owner discount.
However, it is somewhat isolated and can be expensive if you use the hotel services and restaurants. Seafood buffet was excellent but costs $40 pp. Spa excellent but $$$.
It is a bit of a drive to San Diego but La Jolla and the beach town of Carlsbad nearby (avoid rush hour(s) traffic.)
Purchase prices are astronomical!

We currently own 2 weeks here and find it to be second to none. Attention to detail and service is exceptional which is what made us purchase our second week. While not alot of kids around(except in vacation months) there is so much to do in the San Diego area as well. Highly recommended.

We purchased our fourth Four Seasons Residence Club week at Aviara in 2003. The nightly musical entertainment in the lounge is a particular plus with this resort, which is still expanding.
A wonderful place to be - we like the location north of San Diego. The property was originally a failed Japanese development venture that was sitting idle, and some have criticized the location as "other than world class." However, we like the relatively slow pace of life north of San Diego compared to the hustle of Los Angeles and San Francisco.
I will add that we purchased our week at Aviara through SmartChoice Timeshare Realty, and their service was knowledgable and entirely professional.
I have voiced concern for some time at the limited exchange program offered by Four Seasons, compared to other hotel-based competitors such as Westin and Marriott, and also compared to competitors at the high end, such as Exclusive Resorts. Additionally, the new developments at Jackson Hole and Costa Rica are no longer on a traditional "timeshare" model, making exchanges at those locations considerably more difficult. An alternative way of facilitating exchange seems so far not to have been considered by Four Seasons.
However, I find that this situation has recently begun to improve. An expanded exchange program includes access to several western mountain resorts, to Villa La Estancia in Cabo San Lucas, to the Phillips Club in New York City, and also, recently, on a limited basis to available condominium units at Four Seasons Great Exuma through 2007. There is also talk that some new residence clubs will adhere to the original Aviara/Scottsdale model, for example, a development planned in Orlando at Celebration (no specific date provided).
The lack of exchange options for settings of equivalent quality has in my opinion always been the greatest drawback to the Four Seasons Residence Club program. Perhaps the company is now addressing this concern with some seriousness.

I own at Marriott Kaui and Sanibel Island Beach Club. Nothing compares. Not only Four Season's quality, ammenities, service but the San Diego area has so much to offer. Hotel rooms on property at resort are $275-350 per night. Highly recommend.

Had the ultimate relaxing experience as ever with Four seasons. Nothing is over looked and the attention to detail is unrivalled. Every guest is a VIP and the rooms are first class. We took a small baby and evrything had been thought of from swimming diapers to cots. Golf is excellent here.

One of the most luxurious timeshares resort I've ever seen. Definitely in a class by itself, thanks to the legendary Four Seasons service.
