Marriott's Newport Coast Villas is not on the beach. It is located on a
bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The closest beach is the Crystal
Cove State Beach and the resort does offer scheduled shuttle service to
the beach, along with nearby dining and shopping.

The closest beach is Crystal Cove California State Beach. The north end
of the beach is closest to the resort, isolated, and less crowded. In the
summer, they have lifeguards stationed along the beach. You can access
the north end of the beach by walking to it.
The shuttle will take you to the center of Crystal Cove where you will
find the Beachcomber restaurant, the Shake Schack Burgers and beach
rentals (e.g. chairs, boogie boards...).
