interested in visiting

Oct 19, 2006

Me and my fiance are interested in buying a timeshare but we would like to visit one first. How can we go about that?

I would recommend renting a week at one of the resorts you are interested in, to see if it suits your needs. You can check availability at Fairfield Grand Desert from the following page:

There are currently 40 rental postings to choose from. To inquire about one, just click "View posting", then contact the member directly. Membership is required, but we would be happy to give you a refund within 30 days if nothing works out.

We have several articles that will be helpful for you to read, prior to making your decision to buy a timeshare:

Thanks, Kylie

Find a place ypu would like to visit more than once. Only buy one you would like to use. Do not buy for the express purpose of renting out or trading. Redweek.com is agood place to look for rentals. Talk to friends, if you have a friend who owns timeshare they can refer you as well. Check in vacation type magazines for get-away offers.

we own several timeshares and LOVE them. But to you I would suggest going to vegas and renting a regular room at a casino. Then go to different time shares to decide what you might be interested in. some thing you might want to consider: where is it located, near strip or far away, what kind of shuttle service do they have. How often does it run. In summer it can get pretty hot and in winter pretty chilly waiting for a shuttle. What is you maintence fees every year. What time of year do you want to travel. And how well is it kept up.
