Are the prices stated the "full" price or do you need to ad taxes and other fees for renting or buying? Is there someplace to go to get full information on benefits for a subscription to RedWeek?

Hi Carol,

The rental prices you see on RedWeek.com should be the full prices, but make sure to confirm with the owner prior to booking. If you choose to use the escrow service for transferring your rental funds, that will result in an additional fee: http://www.redweek.com/help/rental_process/escrow/.

When buying, unless the owner factors this into their price, there are likely closing costs involved, similar to buying other real estate. You can use a title & escrow company for the final paperwork, and choose whether to buy title insurance. Here is more information on those costs: http://www.redweek.com/help/sale_process/escrow/

A description of the two types of RedWeek.com accounts can be found at the following page: http://www.redweek.com/join/options, and a more in-depth pricing breakdown for memberships and adding postings can be found here: http://www.redweek.com/pricing-and-details.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact customer service here: http://www.redweek.com/contact_us

One of the great advantages of renting directly from an owner is avoiding the high bed tax imposed on visitors. In florida the tax is now 11% when you book with a rental agency. The politicians like to pass these taxes on to visitors because they do not vote in the area taxed. Renting from the owner bypasses this extraneous cost, which can be hundreds on an extended vacation.
