Contract paid but don't want to keep paying dues

I stoped paying my dues at the beginning for 2024 and now it's November 24 and I'm getting "certified mail" ,so the envelope says but no signature required, they want to place a lien on us. But how much reach do they actually have if I have no loan? Can they put a lien on our home or garnish wages? Are they bluffing as a scare tactic to get us to pay? Any advice or experience with this situation appreciated!
