New $99 few for DIY verified and protected is ridiculous
As a very satisfied long time user of Redweek rentals, I do have to say I am very disappointed in the new $99 fee imposed when completeing a DIY verified and protected rental. I will not longer use that option and have found a few other sources for my rentals other than Redweek. I think this will be the beginning of the end or me using this site to list my rentals.

as a 10+ year long user of Redweek, I'm also very disappointed with Redweek for imposing extra $99 commission for DIY rental posts on top of the very high ad fee they charge without giving ANY prior notice about this new change! Isn't charging almost 10% to the renters already greedy enough...? Now you are charging ~$150 ($49 + $99) for even DIY posts.... What additional service are you providing that's different from before? How is this different from the Full Service charge. you charge? ($60 + $99)
Today Redweek just deducted $99 off from my total without giving ANY prior announcement of such new change! Redweek - Please explain...

I'm a 18+ year user of RedWeek to post my rentals and very much in support of the comments made above. I've recommended RedWeek to people looking to book vacations. Won't be doing that anymore. When Full Service became available some years ago some of these people told me that when they accessed the post book that there was an additional fee of about 10% of the posted rental price. They were not happy. Never used RedWeek. Booked their vacation elsewhere. So at that time potential renters were turned off by that change. This recent change is now also putting off the owners who supply the inventory. IMHO poor decisions made by RedWeek.

I completely agree Redweek has made a number of undesireable and unacceptable changes since being acquired by Arrivia in 2022. Under Arrivia policies and leadership, profits come before people (owners and renters). The $99 success fee is exorbitant, considering they already charge significant renter's fee and listing fees. For us, since we list the studio and 1 bedroom separately, Redweek will receive almost $200 return on our investment. To add to this disappointment and frustration, today I learned Redweek will no longer allow us/owners to highlight our verified and protected listings. This means only Redweek Full Service listings are highighted in green and grouped first for each date. This is entirely misleading to renters searching the platform, and unfair to owners, since it leads renters to conclude the non-highlighted listings are inferior or not as desirable. I do not want an unknown Redweek representative handling my ownership listings, so have never used the Full Service option, and do not plan to.
Does anyone know of feasible alternative to Redweek? I plan to begin an earnest investigation to determine if there is one.

I concur! My listing was just posted and I see a $10 per night resort fee has been added to the listing. I've owned these units for about 50 years and never heard of a resort fee. I have sent a email requesting a clarification of this added fee, but haven't heard back yet. I used RedWeeks rental service years back and it was great but I listed 3 units last year and never got one inquiry. Looking a DashWeek now!

In all fairness, resort fees have nothing at all to do with the advertising platform (RedWeek included). Many resorts have begun imposing resort fees on non-owners (i.e., on “renters" and “exchangers") -- but usually not on actual owners using their owned weeks. $10 / day is frankly the lowest resort fee amount that I have ever heard of anywhere.

I just noticed that Redweek attached a "service fee" to one of my listings. The fee is super high and I have no idea what it is for. Does anyone know? Makes my listing far less competitive. And again, why is the service fee on one listing but not the other? I've used this site for years and these changes are ridiculous.

With no info provided regarding your particular listing, your question is certainly best answered directly by RedWeek personnel. I suggest that you use the "Contact Us" link found at the bottom of this page. If yours is a "full service" listing, that might explain the service fee you mention, but with no other information or any details of any substance provided here, I will not presume to speak or answer for RedWeek.

I have to concur that the $99 fee for verified status is ridiculous. I also notice that despite several requests for alternate places to list none appear here. Has no one answered that part or are those answers being removed - after all this is a Redweek forum?

Aside from the $99 fee to you, the renter pays an additional fee to Redweek, typically 10%, so a $3000 rental costs the person $3300. I have two units in Maui on Redweek this season, but opted to not use Verified and Protected. I tried to explain to would be renters how this saves them money, will see if the units rent well.
