Commissions and other expenses for renting out my unit
I don’t represent or speak for RedWeek, but bear in mind that there are several very different listing options available, each with different costs, depending upon whether you want to “do it yourself”, get "full service", get RedWeek verified, etc. You may have to be more specific about your chosen option before you can or will get an informed, accurate response about cost.

I also don't represent RedWeek, But I've used RedWeek to rent out units to cover Maintenance Fees.
The cost to you as an owner is just the listing fee for "DIY Basic," "DIY Verified & Protected," or "Full-Service." The commission is paid by the renter.
I use "DIY Verified & Protected" (now for $50). RedWeek handles pretty much everything else. I set the rental amount and the cancellation policy, send a copy of my reservation, and then RedWeek lists the rental, sends me any offers, and collects the rental payment. After check-in, RedWeek makes a direct deposit to my savings account.
What could be easier? How about Full-Service (now just $10 more)? It offers pricing review and guidance, inquiry management, and dedicated phone support.
I just prefer DIY. I use a separate bank savings account just for rental income for bookkeeping purposes. I use it for maintenance fees only.

I do not represent or speak for Redweek. I am a full service owner who rents. I have just been explained the new ( as of 1 July 2024 ) CALIFORNIA LAW (SBNO 478) . This law as it has been explained to me requires the renter to pay Redweek for their services, in my case almost $350.00. This is in addition of the $99 which I pay for renting service. THIS INFO came from Redweek customer service when questioning the difference in my requested price for rental and the total price on the posting by Redweek. My question to Redweek.... 1. How can California mandate a service mandated fee when Redweek does not have a domicile in California and rental property outside the US. (Customer Service confirmed) 2. The mandated fee does not go to California but Redweek (California Tax ???). (Customer Service Informed info per telecon 5 Sep 2024.approx 12:00.
