Timeshare scam - bait the hook

I got am email from a Samuel Kaplan who claimed to be a timeshare broker. The made up name of the client was Christina Budde who offered to buy my timeshare. Could smell scam from the get go but played it out. I had them send me the false check and turned it over to my bank and both they and federal authorities are working on nailing these dirtbags. If you get one of these scam offers- play dumb and work it so they send you a bogus check (dont try to cash of course), just give it to your bank and note it is counterfeit and part of a scam. My phony check was mailed from the Portland Or. It helps the authorities work to nail down a radius as to where they may be working out of.
