Watch for scam from The KeyCorp Group, Inc.
I was recently contacted by someone from The KeyCorp Group, Inc claiming that they had found a buyer for our timeshare. We don't have it listed for sale any where, so it felt suspicious. They claimed that they had a buyer for our Wyndham property in Hawaii and that they wanted to offer us $24,885 (which is what we bought it for 8 years ago). They explained the sales process and it all sounded about right - but something felt off. They said we could use their closing company for $1280 or we were welcome to use our own title company for the closing. We communicated for about a week and when I finally told him we were ready to proceed and that we would be using First American Title, he got a little huffy and said "Well, I guess you don't need us, then." I said that I was confused, that he had clearly stated that we could use whatever title co. we chose. I asked him what the next step in the process was and he said he would contact me later with the buyer's info so that I could get the title co. process started. I knew that I would never hear from him again at that point. I contacted him 2 days later, asking for the buyer's contact info, to which he replied that his buyers weren't comfortable buying from us because they didn't know us. If you've heard of this company, I'd love to know what dealings you've had or what you've heard.

Bottom line, they don't/didn't have a buyer in the first place (the socalled buyer would have backed out or changed their mind) .... if you had chosen their title company you would have lost $1280.
This is the #1 trick these types of scam companies try to pull (ie: telling you they have a buyer).

Hey, I'm just curious what the name of the guy is that you were dealing with at the Keycorp Group? I too have been contacted by this company and can't seem to find any info on the Internet about them, other then they only opened up shop April 15 of this year, right around the time I was first contacted by them. The deal seems to good to be true. I'm not sure how or where they got my info. But as my Mom always said if a deal seems to good to be true it probably is.
Any info anybody know about this company would be greatly appreciated. Thanks I look forward to a response.

I wish I saw your message before I sent $900 check to the guy who is from the KeyCorp Group Inc. Yesterday which is about 5 weeks later from he got my money, I got phone call from the same guy and He also sent email to me about a paperwork which is OWNERS/SELLER AFFIDAVIT. I have to get Notary for this file. what should I DO? If this is a scam, what does he wants from this OWNERS/SELLER AFFIDAVIT. anyone knows what is going on here?

Sounds like a delay tactic to me. They send paperwork and they act like a deal is going through. That buys them more time to rip other people off before the hammer falls. Then they go out of business and open under a new name later. Please post the address they are using on here so we can research it and maybe track someone down but I'll bet it's just a mail drop somewhere. They hide behind a website and mail drops.

There is nothing a about them except negative reviews here and other sites. It looks like a boiler room operation. They take upfront money and promise you results and then disappear with your money. NEVER pay anyone money upfront to rent or sell your timeshare.
Jayjay.. do you know anything about this company ?

The only thing I found by Googling KeyCorp is that it looks like they're a brand new online banking site .... copyright 2013 = I would be skeptical of using such. I have no idea what involvement they have with timeshare resales .... it could be that they're pirating the KeyCorp name.

lilil, access the DE attorney general and file a complaint requesting your $900 to be returned .... I've never heard of an owner/seller affidavit.
copy and paste url below for DE attorney general:
