permenantly exchanging our TimeShare

May 24, 2012

Does anyone know where one can find a site that is a private (owner to owner) "wanted to permenantly exchange" their timeshares.? I can't seem to find any sites unless they are companies that want to take money to do it. We have an upscale Ocean Front unit in Aruba that we would like to permenanty swap for a Disney Timeshare in Florida.

Why don't you try listing it in Red Wishes?

I was going to, but they are not excepting 'Redwishes" until futher notice, so thought this would be the next best place to post it.

What happened to the Wish List? I loved it? I know redweek wants money for exchanges but it is great for other things like " I wish to buy...." or " I wish to rent or permanently exchange..." Can we all request that they bring "WISH LIST BACK?

Moot point = Redweek is no longer an exchange company. Whether or not they bring back Red Wishes nobody knows .... anyone wishing for Red Wishes to be re-instated should click on Contact Redweek.com below and express your desire.

bottom line is Redweek is not making money on redwishes, so why don;t they just put a user fee on posting a wish and let the members decide if they want to post there or post on the redweek resort. It just like selling something, you list it in the paper and maybe on a another source. The point is to make your need known. Nothing is for free, if it gives you more options to rent out or find a rental why not. I agree if you can make a wish known and trade with another owner and not cost alot, it beats RCI costs. We all know that one.If we work together, with Redweek to let this happen it will be worth The small cost to do so. I have written redweek a couple of times, they have not said alot about bringing it back, but said they do read the fourms. So as said earlier, keep posting on the red wish issue.

Now, that's a good idea AND to have someone moderate Red Wishes on a daily basis to catch what may be an abuse such as an ad to sell or rent that should be in the ad section only.
