The Lodge at Runaway Bay, Texas March 2012
This is not a resort the best way to describe it is your average small apartment complex. We only saw staff members once and that was when we had to check in after we had already been at the Lodge for 3 days. When you arrive the office is closed & you must call the emergency # to get a code to get your key to your room. Since they dont have staff everything is opened with a code that is provided. Checking out is no different you check yourself out by dropping your key in the mail slot. You are also told to stuff all towels and linens inside the pillow cases to avoid being charged. We are allowed clean towels on Wednesday only but you must there to exchange towels. We waited all day & never received towels. Room has no phone & no wifi. This is definetly not a place for KIDS because all you can do is take them to the lake, Cici's, McDonalds or your backyard pool. The only good thing about this so called Resort is that it was very clean unlike the many other Silverleaf Resorts we have stayed at but with this said we will never return because it was just to boring.
