Everyone who owns a timeshare should visit this site. It's a non profit site and they don't sell you anything. It's just information. Go to timeshares. Please click onto " over seas fraud " , " holiday club fraud " , " should you buy a timeshare " and " getting out of a timeshare - maybe " . Don't be a victim of the next fraud out there.

I want to keep the message going. Please visit the site www.stopthescam.org and click on a few of the links above. We will hear a lot less horros stories if people go there before sending money to the scammers.

I checked it out. Yes, it has some useful information. However, for those who peruse forum websites such as this one, Timeshare Users Group (TUG), or Timeshare Forums (ts4ms.com), this information is nothing new.

I think the website is very helpful to people who are thinking of buying a timeshare and the pitfalls that they need to look for beforehand.

However one statement they made caught my eye to look for before purchasing:

"Purchase a two bedroom lock-off suite, use one bedroom, rent the other"

Purchasing a lockoff and using one side yourself and renting the other side is completely legitimate.
