SCAM! Owner should not have to pay anything. Florida document tax is a sham charge.
Besides, they are using a typical ploy of a timeshare scam artist --- "We have a buyer for your property".
If they genuinely do have a buyer and Florida Document Tax does exist, then that money would come out of the proceeds of the sale, not directly from the owner.
Can you give more details about this conversation you had? Did they call you unexpectedly? Did you even have your property listed for sale?
