Timeshare Calendar of Weeks is incorrect for Saturday and Sunday in 2011

Mar 28, 2011

Does anyone know how to get this information to Redweek? I realized the mistake when I was reviewing timeshares for sale and saw that the dates for the week were wrong. The Friday dates are correct, but the Saturday and Sunday dates are a week early.

Although I'm not sure what you're referring to since owners post their own ads including dates (not Redweek), however you can contact Redweek at the bottom of this page.

Thanks, jayjay. I could not find a way to contact them.

I noticed this error when I was browsing through the sales for Beach Quarters. For instance, I saw one for sale for week 22. The dates were different than what I got from my timeshare.

On further research, I saw that the timeshare calendar dates p0sted on the Redweek 2011 calendar are incorrect for Sat and Sun week starts but not Friday. Perhaps you have not seen this calendar.

You resolved the dilemna, though.

Any idea why I may be having such difficulty renting or exchanging my nice 2br/2th oceanview condo for apr2nd-9th. Any suggestions? It is Oceanside 99 and a nice place to stay.

Have you checked Redweek and other reputable listing sites for comparable weeks and what owners are asking for? When you get an idea, go with a little lower price.

As for the exchanging part, that could also depend on when you deposited your week. The closer to the week of occupancy you deposit, the less likely you will be able to snag what you want (lower trading power).

Also, what are you looking for in exchange? You can only exchange for what the exchange company has in its inventory.

Various calendars are used by resorts and exchange companies. Always confirm the actual check-in/check-out dates with the resort before buying, selling, or exchanging any timeshare.

It's somewhat late now, but in the future price your rental lower than anybody else for the time period you own and if you don't get any responses after that then keep lowering your price.

People don't have as much discretionary dollars in this current economy.

Look at prices that others are charging and make yours less or at least the same.
