Has anyone made a list of questionable resellers?

Jan 24, 2011

I tried to make a search of the forums for a list of questionable resellers and renters. Is there one out there?

I read many forums and one topic, complaint or question were about many companies that members had questions about or reports of, various activities or violations. That is alot of reading

If there is no list, how about making one so that we can look up as a reference as to a company or reseller is reliable or not?

the company could be listed by name and State The could have a positive and Negative columns beside it. and rated by the paid members (so that names and identities can be somewhat verified by Redweek ??) It could be dated or updated daily or weekly.

just a thought

EACH AND EVERY "reseller" on Planet Earth (...more accurately described as an ineffective "listing" company) which charges an upfront fee is not just "questionable", but completely useless. Accordingly, there would be very little point in bothering to try to construct or maintain an actual "list" of them.

Besides, many of these parasites regularly change their names and addresses anyhow, just like we might change our socks, so any such "list" would always be incomplete and / or entirely obsolete.

Forget a "list". A much more simple and straightforward approach is to just understand and fully absorb one universally valid advisory: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER PAY ***ANYONE*** AN UPFRONT FEE TO SELL YOUR TIMESHARE!

Judi Kozlowski's organization does not take an upfront fee:

there is no market for (almost all) timeshares. You have to pay to get rid of them. I paid to get rid of mine. I was glad.

Then what is the best way to safely sell your timeshare without getting scammed?

Have you tried listing it on RedWeek (or TUG) for $1 or so? If you own a dog week and have no takers, maybe try offering to pay closing costs and the following year's maintenance fees.

That will work out cheaper than using one of these companies to allegedly take your timeshare off your hands. And you won't get scammed.
