how do i get rid of the weeks i have with interval before they expire? i want to sell them to someone but do i book a place first and then advertise it here. then when I find a buyer mail them a guest certificate? I guess i should look for the most desirable places and times of year and request it from interval. any advice???

I assume you're speaking of banked week(s) with II ? If so, it's against II and RCI rules and regulations to sell a banked or a reserved week. The only way a guest certificate can (legally) be obtained is if you give or gift your week to a friend or family member with the only reimbursement to you being the cost of the guest certificate and the exchange fee. There can be no profit made, not even the cost of your yearly maintenance fee.

If you outright own the week(s) and have not deposited them then you should choose a popular timeframe (holidays, etc) to reserve and then put those week(s) up for rent.

There are people that do get away with selling banked weeks and reservations but if the exchange companies catch you then your account can be shut down immediately.

Just be aware of what can happen.
