how does this work?

May 20, 2010

I am brand new to this webiste. Excuse me if my question has already been answered. How exactly does this all work? I'd be interested in booking a vacation through redweek. I see dates listed for some places like this (for example) 5/20/10-10/25/10. And then I see, for example, $500 for 7 nights. So does that mean if I buy it I can use any week I want in that time slot for that price? It just seems a little to good to be true for me. How would I select the exact dates? I tried googleing about how this site works and didn't find much description. Thanks for any help!!

Hi Gina,

What the owner has is a "floating" week. That means that the owner has one week available to them within a range of dates throughout the year. You would need to contact the owner letting them know the week you are interested in then they would contact their resort to find out if that week is available. If it is then you can proceed to rent it. If the resort doesn't have any availability for that week then you would need to either chose another week or move on to a different posting.

Hope this helps.

I am new too. I have a timeshare in Florida, 4 minutes from Disney. It's a floating week. I wanted to use my 2010 week. I found an exchange in Williamsburg. So what do I do next. When I go to the site to deposit my week it will only allow deposits after Oct. 2011. Does that mean I cannot use this site until then.

Thank you.
