Timeshare Smart

Does anyone have any info on Transfer Smart? They supposedly get rid of your timeshare without charging an upfront fee.

Never heard of them .... so if they don't ask for an upfront fee then what are their terms?

That is one of the things I would like to know, there must be a charge somewhere.

They charge $1200 to cover closing costs and have your name taken off the deed and a transfer company put on it.

This is an outright lie .... transfer companies are not in business to take deeds .... they are in the business of transferring ownership from the seller to the buyer of a timeshare .... transfer companies do not buy timeshares.

This is info I got from the TUG forum, it has a date of Nov. 23, 2009 and was by Bill4728, posting #13, stating that he received this info from a seminar he attended for Transfer Smart. (originally posted by bristoltn)

You do realize that these charities are charging you big bucks for them to take your timeshare, don't you? Charges could be at least $2000 depending on how quickly the charity feels it can turn around and sell it or rent it out.

A cheaper option would be to list it for sale for $1 or even free. See if you can find a taker that way first.
