Advice to first time rentor

Jan 15, 2010

I would like to start renting some of my weeks. Can folks offer advice/cautions on the process? Collection of funds. Necessity of brokers. Any advice you would like to offer.

First you need to download a rental agreement .... search forums .... then place your ad .... the rental agreement lists the terms of the rental and collection of monies .... NEVER use a broker .... they will tell you they have a renter when they do not .... successful rentals are all about supply and demand of the resort and time you own AND not overpricing your rental in this economy .... if you get no interest within a few weeks then keep lowering your rental price ..... good luck.

How do you reach a price for nite or week? I have wyndham and all the resorts are extra nice, but do not know how to price reasonable.

Look at the Whyndham listings here on Redweek and if a unit has been rented it will have 'rented' next to the ad ... that should give you some idea.
