If you buy resale at Harbor side do you get points with starwood for trading?

Yes you get staroptions to trade internally to other starwood timeshares. No resale will give you starpoints which is just converting your timeshare week into hotel points instead (not a good value anyway). Starwood considers it's resorts Mandatory or voluntary with regard to staroptions upon resale, so if you buy at a mandatory resort you get them, if you buy at a voluntary you do not. The Mandatroy resorts are: Harborside, Westin Ka'anapali, Westin St. John, Kierland Villas, and Vistana Villages.
