HI Club Points - Need to Trade - How To Go About it?

We have converted our fixed week at OLCC to Global Access which is now HI Vac Club points. We have 150,000 ish. We have never gone anywhere other than our fixed week at OLCC.

I will be in Hawaii (big island) Sept 12-16th. I would like to trade my OLCC for Hawaii this year. How do I go about this? Is it better to convert points to Priority points and book that way, or should I pick an RCI spot? Not picky, as long as it is somewhere on the Big Island, at least 1 bdrm. Conference is in Waikaloa and I will be staying at the hotel for several days.

Can I book just for a few days or must it be a week if we go RCI? Can I book a week resort or just a point one? Don't mind taking a week if need be and checking out early.

What are the costs involved either way?
