Tips for flying with cooler of food to Haborside?
Tips for flying with cooler of food? Anyone have any hints and tips on the best way to fly with food? Heading to Atlantis in the Bahamas, which is infamous for huge food prices. From what I understand it will be much smarter for us to pay $25 luggage fee to fly the cooler filled with food there rather than pay their prices for beef, cheese, chicken, etc. They charge up to $4 for a loaf of bread, $10 for a box of Frosted Flakes, etc... so you can imagine what meat and cheese costs! We have a Harborside condo room with kitchen, and a 1 year old in tow as well, so we plan to cook ourselves often. Anyone have any insights on what is the best to pack that is light yet tasty? Anyone ever travel with a cooler... how did you keep it closed and keep it cool? Any issues with customs to bring in food? FYI, I have a 2 hour direct flight plus any transportation time to get to the resort.
