Using YouTube to out all sleazy upfront fee companies and other timeshare scams ....

Jan 09, 2009

Someone on another thread came up with the idea of using YouTube to out the timeshare scam situation they've been trapped in. I think using YouTub to get the word out about all timeshare scams, especially upfront fee companies is a GREAT IDEA. I can't do YouTube because I have slow dial-up, but someone should get the ball rolling in exposing all the timeshare scams out there.

I am on dial-up myself, or I would go with this; every little bit may help. We should make a concerted effort to expose the whole industry.

I think that is a good idea, as it levels the playing field when everyone has the same information. However, I too am on a dialup modem at home and I find it painfully slow to see anything on You-Tube. Another option which I think is more suitable to dialup users is to merely create a webpage such as http://www.davesplanet.net/silverleaf/ to accurately document the facts. I do not know the author of that webpage, but I do own 2 timeshare weeks purchased from the company, which is the subject of that webpage. As long as the content is true and accurate, I think it helps to get the word out. Webpages can be created for minimal cost or even for free at many sites.
