question about best area to stay in?

Hi, I live in Ct and am going to WVV in a couple of weeks and would like to know if there is a "better area" to ask to stay in.. as far as unit/building goes. Which ones are newer/updated and closer to the pools/activities? I know from experience, WHERE you stay in a place makes such a difference, as some of the buildings can be older and run down..or miles from the action. I'm not sure if this is true with WVV, but would like to find out ahead of time. I would appreciate any advice anyone can give me as I've never been to this particular timeshare. Thank you. Lynn
