Has anyone heard of them ? I got a call from them and this is the first time I've ever heard of them. I think they may be a resurrection of an old shutdown scam.

I have never heard of them before, but they are almost certainly just another upfront fee parasite company, looking to collect an "advertising and marketing fee" from you to do absolutely nothing useful or helpful for you.

I tried the "send me a contract to show my attorney " and I was directed to the website to download a copy to do so.

...You would then also have to somehow believe that whatever you might see on some web site is, in fact, exactly the same contract content as that which would have to be sent to you later (first bearing the other parties' authorizing signature). I wouldn't trust ANY of these upfront fee parasites, personally. But that's just me...

don't bother as far as the attorney general's office is concerned the only way to cell is to go thru a reputable realtor everyone else are just thieves.

anyone dealing with club navigo/liki tiki, i found out their scam, they want you to quit claim your week to them rather than work with you. After years of paying on my unit, I found out recently they were renting it out and keeping the money without notifying me, and still charging me my yearly fees. when I could not longer afford it they wrote me and asked me to quit claim it back to them in order to prevent a foreclosure on my credit report. The Attorney general quickly got on the ball to investigate them and their illegal practices/ theft/ possible embezzlement.

Reputable realtors cannot be licensed to sell timeshares since they demand for an upfront fee. A reputable realtor takes their commission after a sale, not before.

Doesnt red week charge an upfront fee?

First of all, RedWeek is not ANY form of reseller. RedWeek is a timeshare related Internet site (with perhaps 1,000,000 potential viewers and well established credibility) which charges owners less than $50 to place a classified ad on their site for a full year. RedWeek is not in any way involved in any transactions which subsequently take place between buyers and sellers.

RedWeek fees as described above are distinctly and entirely different from an "upfront fee" company overcharging an unsuspecting would-be seller $500 to $2,000 to have a useless listing placed on an obscure web site which few will likely ever see or take seriously.

Comparing the two is comparing fresh apples to rotten spinach...

I don't work for (or in any way represent) RedWeek. That clearly stated, I have nothing but contempt for ALL of the upfront fee parasites who take such horrific financial advantage of would-be sellers, yet who rarely (...if ever) actually sell an owner's timeshare.

A truly brilliant comeback, Michael Simmers (...yes, I know exactly who and what you are, having previously received several unsolicited and unwelcome contacts from you offering to "help" with timeshares --- help I certainly never needed or would ever want from the likes of you).

I'm certainly not the least bit "angry", nor am I interested in selling any of my few remaining timeshare weeks, which I use each year and enjoy quite a lot. I am, however, overtly and very deliberately protective of innocent people who don't understand (as I quite thoroughly do) the "game" and the "tactics" of upfront fee parasites. I offer no apology whatsoever for attempting to look out for the best interests of unwary and innocent timeshare consumers. I'd much rather see them keep their money in their own pockets instead of wasting it by placing it into your pockets, or into the pockets of others of your ilk....

Oh, I almost forgot --- Happy New Year, Michael!

Surely you're not that ignorant.

Redweek, MyResortNetwork, Tug and other timeshare ad sites are just that ..... ad sites, just as your local newspaper charges for ads in their classified ad section. These sites are not charities.

Upfront fee scam sites charge in the hundreds to thousands of dollars to list a timeshare in a database that no one will ever see. All they want is your upfront fee, period, then they forget about you and your timeshare.

I just started with them, has anyone had a sale for listing with them. I noticed a lot of nice comments on their web site, but no names or City of where these people live.

Have you read ANY of the dozens and dozens of posts (here and /or on other timeshare sites) about "upfront fee" companies?

The short version is that they will NEVER sell your timeshare. Period. If you VOLUNTARILY CHOOSE to give these types of parasites your hard earned money for a lame listing on an obscure web site (which few will see and which no well informed buyer would ever take seriously), then please very clearly understand in advance that you are NOT a victim --- you are instead a willing VOLUNTEER!

I take it that your trying to be funny about their nice comments!

Do you really think they would have comments saying how they screwed over owners and just took the money?

Would anyone in their right mind pay a company that had comments from past suckers saying these things.

Good luck because you and your money probably went different directions!

Upfront fee parasites are very good actors over the phone and they can put anything they wish on their glitzy websites for gullible people like you to fall for such as false testimonials.

I assume you had never read Redweek forums concerning upfront fee scams before signing up with that company....... an expensive lesson learned for you.

Would you pay a realtor a commission for selling your home before they sold it? I think not !
