UNAnticipated Rental Charges by the RESORTS

Aug 26, 2008

Firstly, let me admit that I have NOT had 'first hand' experience in this issue.....but have just read a comment by others.

Here goes: Apparently 'some resorts' charge a "Special Fee" (similar to a 'minimum' at a fancy restaurant..) That is, they assess a 'cleaning fee' (based on the number of occupants) and a "Minimum-Charge" toward one or more of their 'ammenities' such as Restaurant, Spa/Sauna, SportsRoom, Firewood, BBQ-Fuel, etc, etc.. even tho you may not use ANY of them. I was 'astonished' at what I read... and cannot tell you exactly where (in this WebSite) I noticed this. Again, "Buyer BeWare". Oh, I DO have experience... Resorts within a National Park charge a 'fee' for all Private Vehicles which can be more than $10 to $50/week. SO, whenever you RENT a Vehicle, be SURE it has a "Sticker", "PARK-PASS", whatever...BEFORE you accept it.
