We are new to the Timeshare thing, so bear with me. We have an ongoing search with RCI for a 2/2 at this location for 4/10 or 4/11/09. We'd like to get plans made in advance, but apparently people haven't banked their week for 2009 yet. If you are thinking about, or going to bank your week from this resort, I beg you to please do it soon. We are desperate to get things finalized. thanks.

I hope you succeed in finding what you're looking for, but keep in mind that with RCI very heavily into direct rentals these days, even a deposit made for this very week at this very resort might very well never become available (or even visible) to you as a potential "exchange". That's a spring week which likely also coincides with some school vacations; accordingly it's high demand / high value. RCI will do the math (something they do more and more of all the time) and may well decide that collecting a $1700 rental fee beats just collecting a $170 exchange fee --- by a factor of TEN TIMES. Owners could decide the very same thing --- that direct rental beats "depositing" if they are not also looking for an exchange themselves. Be optimistic, certainly, but I wouldn't recommend buying any airline tickets for something which might very well never actually appear as available (or even visible) for you to "exchange" into in the first place. Again though, good luck...
