What has more trade power?
We wanted to know if anyone has an opinion as to which of the following Marriott Vacation Club locations have more trading power through Interval International: Aruba Ocean Club Aruba Surf Club Maui Ocean Club Ko' Olina Hawaii (Oahu) Kauai Beach Club Waiohai Beach Club Kauai
Please keep in mind these are all Marriott properties we are referring to. Also we've been told that even purchasing a 1-bedroom unit at some of these locations can often yield a 2-bedroom unit when trading to a different location. Does anyone know which locations have that type of trading power? If anyone has any experience to share regarding the above we would appreciate it.
Thanks!
Barbara D.
I have been told the same thing by Marriott and Wyndham sales persons, but I have found the opposite to be true in practice. Maybe if you happen to get lucky, however, I have had to trade my 3 bedroom in Orlando Grande Vista for a two bedroom at the same resort for a different time. Aruba is avoided by so many Americans since the cover-up death, that it might be easier there, but I have had no luck with Hawaii Hawaii or St Kitts.

People that love travelling to guarenteed sun, sea, sand, fab sunsets etc go to Aruba. no matter what! Aruba has been listed as one of the safest places to vacation in 2009 with a stable government for over 300 years by the Dutch. The article includes the mystery case. More US carriers than ever fly to the island completely packed! Exchanging from Marriott Aruba to other Marriott resorts is easier than the other way around. You do not get Aruba easily. Look at the high rental returns in Aruba on this board. Marriott Aruba is so full year round that mr. Bill Marriott just signed papers to build a Ritz Carlton with 400 accommodations.
I use Marriott Aruba anytime for trading power.
