Blackbird Lodge

Blackbird Lodge is wonderful. The location is perfect. The furnishings are a bit fou-fou overdone. However, the 1-bedroom (maximum capacity 4) really cannot accommodate 4 adults (2 can sleep on the hide-a-bed in the main room & one must have long legs & be quite agile to climb in & out of the deep tub but you may bump your head on the shower curtain bar)). There are only 3 bar stools in the kitchen & 2 chairs on the deck so don't plan on any sit-down meals for 4. There are no indoor or outdoor pools. There is no restaurant. There was no outdoor bar-be-que area. It was not "pet friendly" since no VI-owned resorts are. For a couple desiring lovely surroundings, it is ideal. Hiking &/or xc skiing is right there. There is pet boarding nearby on Chumstick Hwy.
