ALOHA AIRLINES JUST CLOSED THEIR DOORS,

Mar 30, 2008

Guess it's my day for starting new topics!

Just found out on Tug that Aloha Air just went under! They just closed up shop so if anyone has reservations you might call your credit card company now. My company has had over 30 calls in last two hours.

I talk to airlines this week and the stated if something happens they would rebook us on another airline. They did book us with United and when I called they had my family all set. It wasn't a non-stop and it was about $400 per person more but was going to do it until the bad news that we need to pay whole apro $2800 now because Aloha sent reservations but not the money!

After calling Aloha Airlines with no answers again we called our credit card company and they have all the information now.

Aloha didn't even show us the class to let us know we had been transfered to United. Like all other information, We heard it from a Tug member's post about them using United Air and called to find we were transfered to them.

This sucks!

After calling Aloha Air for over seven hours I gave up and called back to II travel and they are no help. Never will I use II travel again or recommend to anyone to use them.

I called back and talk to a United agent about my being transfered to United and he tried but couldn't get a decent rate for us to book our travel that Aloha setup with them minus the money of coarse.

United is taking full advantage of this and raising prices every hour it seems. Since they have many Aloha travelers transfered over to them.

During my speaking to this agent he stated prices went off the board and came back raised again,at this point I gave up and called Expedia that we have worked with many times. They checked and could have still booked us on the same United flight for much less than United was trying to charge us so it was just the Aloha transfers being taken.

The agent checked flights from Sacramento and Oakland and booked us for total of $1650.00.

Flying ATA to Hawaii and short flight on Hawaiian Air to Maui on May 23 and non-stop back to Oakland on ATA ON May 30.

I should have only dealt with Expedia as we have for years.

The way my luck is going now I hope for refund from Visa and that these airlines don't fold before our trip!
