Wintergreen Quarters -disappointing

We have stayed at Wintergreen Quarters in the past and have enjoyed it, however this recent stay was very disappointing to say the least. We've always looked forward to using the hot tub on the back deck, but this time when we arrived the hot tub was sealed shut and we were informed that the association decided not to keep them running in the winter. They gave us passes to use the pool/hot tub at the fitness center accross the street only to discover it was closed due to an "accident". Sounded like human sewage. The next day when it was supposed to be ready for public use, the hot tub was drained-broken, and the pool was less than appealing (greenish, cloudy) We opted to drive up to Ferris and use their sports facility, which was worth the 15 minute drive. We spent the rest of our weekend in watching cable tv and playing card games. The management was a bit condescending about our frustration with the hot-tub. It would have been nice to have been informed of their decision not to make it available before we drove up and found the surprise. The unit is clean, but 1980's decore hasn't been updated. Bedspreads are faded and in need of replacement, along with the dated wallpaper in the bathrooms and kitchen.
