General refurbishing

Can anyone that stayed at the resort lately comment on whether the timeshare rooms are being refurbished or redone in any way, other than the installation of Murphy beds? The rooms especially were starting to look a little ragged on our last visit. Disappointing, since this has always been a beautiful place. Thanks...

Stayed in May and the room we had was updated and very nice. Had a wonderful time as usual.

This reply is obviously not timely but we were there in October and went to a meeting where it was announced that a total refurbishment will be started Sept 2008. This includes all timeshares as well as pool deck and property in general - restaurant etc. Anyway they said that the pool will remain useable and that they'd do it all in sections. There is a unit to look at that is done and it has all dark furniture. We have reservations in Sept 2008 but aren't worried because on Hawaiian time they probably won't start on time. I'll email a forum discussion when I return and update the situation.
