Interesting article in the Timeshare Beat .... seems developer losses are due to the information superhighway called the internet that's educating people concerning buying from a developer

Hi Jayjay,

That 3+ year old article is nice but very incorrect. Last year, Marriott, Wyndham, Starwood, and other large devlopers all made record profits. As per the ARDA (the industry's trade group), over 93% of timeshare sales are made by the devloper, the rest are resales.

No, the little guy is still getting the you know what every day...

Indeed, the industry seems to be doing well. As one example, Bluegreen's stock (symbol BXG) was $4 a share in 2003, and is pretty stable around $12 now. That's an enormous gain, and reflects continually reliable profits and growth. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=BXG&t=5y&l=off&z=m&q=l&c=
