Puerto Rico Question about Renting

Feb 18, 2007

I am thinking of buying a timeshare in PR, the week is the week of Thanksgiving , what are your opinions about renters wanting this ,on this holiday week ,it sleeps 8 and is the Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar . I will travel occaisionally , but not every year ,is this a good travel time for people or is this a time when people want to be a home or family. Thanks

I hope you're considering buying resale and not from the developer. You can save tons of money by buying resale.

I have no idea how popular a Thanksgiving week is Puerto Rico, but it's very popular in the USA, however one would have to fly to Puerto Rico and Thanksgiving air travel is major chaos at best (the busiest travel holiday of the year in the USA).

I realize that this is a busy time of the year for travel , but if you know what dates ,you can book early. I will rent for a low price ,I hope this is wise investment ,I am buying from a friend and its a great price

There are advantages to going early. One year, we took the kids out of school a day early and went to Mammoth for a five-family ski Thanksgiving. The day after we all arrived, a huge blizzard closed all incoming roads. Of course, at this resort area, you pay in full in advance, no refunds.

We had a great time, with no lines at the lifts or at restaurants. I have become a day-early kind of babe.
