Another good internet site for resort and hotel reviews is www.tripadvisor.com

I never book a resort or hotel without first checking Redweek and Trip Advisor for reviews.

We checked the reviews recently at Trip Advisor for a reknowned hotel and spa where we stayed for our recent anniversary. The reviews were right on target ... nice hotel but not worth the money at the regular nightly price, in other words the hotel was overrated in our opinion. We did get a special internet rate that was much lower than the regular nightly rate.

I completely agree with you, especially TripAdvisor. I recently stayed at a new guest house in Guadalajara, Mexico, that had been reviewed by a few people. It was better than I had anticipated! The Dickinson Guest house is a great find, considering it is not really promoted.
