Weather and Hotel Preferences

Having been to Aruba once during June and planning to return again, I am wanting to find out if "all year round" is always good weather.

We stayed at the Rennaissance Aruba Resort (on the beach) and loved the private island and close proximity (walking distance) to town. Looking for input from others who stayed in the hotel zone, too.

We own timeshare weeks in February at Renaissance and go every year - the weather is always around 86 degrees. We have gotten a scattered shower once in a while, but they usually last less than an hour and the sun comes right back out. We have never had a bad vacation at this time of year and its a perfect time to break up the long winter here in New England.

The weather in Aruba is pretty consistent. Because of it's location, just 20 miles north of Venezuela, it is below the hurricane zone and pretty much immune to them and tropical storms.

We just purchased at the Playa Linda last year after visiting the island 2x's. We absolutely love it there! I can say that is has rained twice in the 3 visits to Aruba.

Weather.com shows average monthly highs and lows at http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/wxclimatology/monthly/graph/AUA:9?from=month_bottomnav_business

The average monthly lows range from 76 to 80 degrees F, the average monthly highs range from 85 to 89 degrees F. June is as hot as it gets. I've been there in December and January. Temperature is great, and while the weather forecast always shows clouds and scattered showers every day, it's usually a 20 minute drizzle each day, then gorgeous the rest of the day. (Sounds ridiculously improbable, based on my northern US weather, but it's true!!)

The weather is always perfect in Aruba!

If it does rain, it doesn't last long, and dries up quickly.

We stay at the ocean club often but never know what floor until checkin unless it is ocean front not ocean view. The 4th fl up isn't bad unless you get stuck in the corner close to the building center. In two weeks we are staying in our surfclub unit for 1st time. Our paperwork says rm 5XXX but that doesn't mean we will be on the 5th fl. Good luck

Strange, I thought all rooms at the Ocean Club started with 5 and all rooms at the Surf Club started with 6? Hmmm...maybe I have this confused. Anyway, yes, the corner rooms at the Ocean Club have the most tree obstructions to their view.

WEATHER-- Have been to Aruba in May, June, July, August, October, November and December.

May/June - Most Windy

July/August - Warmest, by a few degrees (86 to 88)

October/November - My favorite, slightly cooler than summer, but still plenty warm (83 to 85 as opposed to 88).

Late November/Early Dec - Cooler, but this is the rainy season. I've been there several times during this time and it is WET. If you only have one week, I'd find a time besides Thanksgiving and the week after.
