POINTS OR WEEKS?

I have an opportunity to convert my week to points through my home resort company. Does any one have experience with RCI points? Is the condo availabilily better with the point system?

How much are they charging to convert your week to points? My problem with converting weeks to points is the $3000+ price I've seen.

They want just over $1600. I think it would give me 6000 points.

--------- A bit late, but I'd like to add my two cents worth. I found more availabilies in points, BUT you can only book 10 months in advance, and if you are looking for a prime place, be ready to book as soon as the 10 month window opens up. In the grand scheme of things, 6000 points is not enough to even get started exchanging with RCI.
