Daisys9: PROVE YOUR CLAIM!!! If you can, through contacting Karla at steilka@iowatelecom.net with, for instance, scanned copies of receipts of the sales or rental agreements, pertinent emails, proof of your name and address, etc., then congratulations: you're the first one ever to get anything from them. Tell us how you did it, and we'll publicize your methods all over the internet. On the other hand, :IF you can't, then you're just another troll, in the same category as Jimr410 from last week -- who, of course, has not accepted our challenge. After all that's been published here, why should anyone believe you about Omnicorp?? They are not registered as a legitimate business in Illinois; they are about to get an F ranking from the BBB which can't find them; their address is an office building in Springfield, that has no record of them; their web site's "owner" is in Mongolia (go figure!); they make the same claims that Executive Properties and Optimus made two and one year ago -- and never fulfilled even once (i.e., not one person in the past two years has received any money from selling a timeshare or renting Coco through either of these "companies"; their paperwork is essentially the same as the other scammers; and finally, the people you deal with -- when they answer the phone -- probably are using aliases and working out of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Challenge them to provide references, both for themselves and for real clients, not trolls. They won't, because they can't. I truly hope I'm wrong about you, daisy9 -- and I'll gladly apologize if so -- but on the other hand, if you don't respond, then thanks for reinforcing our points. You guys will just have to do better in the future -- we're on to you. NOTE TO OTHER TROLLS, whether hired by Coco, JWMAxx, or these fictional US partners: We will continue to challenge you, so just go away! You're only making it even more apparent that you all lie and belong in jail...

Donnab,
I bought a timeshare at Vallarta Gardens through Joe Potter. They guaranteed to buy my other time share and rent out the place at Vallarta Gardens to recover some money. They used Omnicorp Development as the outside agency. I notice you changed your blog on the forum where any reference to Vallarta Gardens was removed? Joe is a very smooth talker. He has no morals. Not sure how he can see himself in the mirror. Not sure how anyone in that sales office can see them selves in the mirror.

I wish I had known about this website before my boyfriend and I each bought at Coco Sunset in June 2009. Todate we have not received any rental payment or even call backs from Executive properties or any help from Coco Sunset on renting. We have been contacted by A+ Marketing Group about selling our timeshares - they have a buyer interested who wants controlling share of Coco Sunset - and I wonder if anyone else has been contracted by these people? They have a website but they are not registered with the State of TX and the closing company they use Golden Lion is not registered either. I don't want to be caught in another scam but would like to be rid of this timeshare.

I've not heard of that company but my wife and I were contacted by Leo Garza two weeks ago from First Management Group, also from Texas. He emailed a Letter of Intent, clearly stating their terms as 8% of selling price, collected at closing. I checked the BBB and found no history for the company because they were new. TWO days after Mr. Garza's Letter of Intent, we got an email from Coco Sunset recommending owners be wary of unauthorized contact by third party sellers. Do you get the impression they are somehow connected? I believe either Coco has a disgruntled former employee or they are simply trying to scam us for more money themselves. When we didn't respond to the Letter of Intent, Garza called back so my wife started grilling him for information. When she asked about fees and seller's net at closing, he told her "you will have to submit a cashier's check for 20% of the sale price at closing. Countries like Mexico and Costa Rica discourage timeshare resales so they charge 20% fee to process the transaction." My wife asked why the fee could not be taken out at closing and he said it was required by law. After being burned by another resale company, we'll never bring money to the table or pay up-front fees. Trust me, Costa Rican timeshares, and timeshares in general, aren't in demand. If you didn't contact the company first and they approached you, there is a twist for them to make money, probably yours.

We purchased timeshare from Coco Sunset in Dec 2010 and went thru Executive Properties to try to rent them since that was what sold my husband. We paid 800 and received nothing, they said it didn't rent. So what did we pay for. Now Global Properties and First management Properties have contacted us to try to get us to sell it which I think is also a scam. We have lost so much money already. It practically ruined our 25 year Anniversary celebration in Costa Rica! I've been very sick over it, such a lot of money for nothing in return. We aren't going to fly over there and use it yearly! I am interested in getting in a class action lawsuit if this has been done. moraystephanie@yahoo.com

Exactly what we are going thru! Made our mistake in Dec 2010 and now Global Properties and First management properties are contacting us to sell promising about 3 times what we paid! Has to be another SCAM! My Husband was all excited when he was first contacted because finally he wouldn't have to hear it from me because he was the reason we did it ...I kept saying NO!!! Almost ruined our 25 yr wedding anniversary. I'd love to join a class action lawsuit.

Has anyone that was scammed ever gone to use the resort? My husband and I bought in to this in August 2011, waited the 300 days and found out that the rental company could not be reached and we were pretty much on our own. We do have plans to use 1 of our weeks in a few weeks time- it is already booked. Does anyone know if that will be a problem as well? When we get there, will we actually have a place to stay? We bought into the 2 bedroom condo so it had better be one of those. Anybody? I have emailed Karla and hope to hear back. We will join anything that's going on to help the cause. Randy McIntyre was our "dude". UGH!

I too fell into what seem a scam last October. I was supposed to get my first payment this month and my other timeshare sold but never heard from Optimus inventory. I called them and their phone numbers don't work anymore, emails have not been returned...can you tell me what you have been doing and how I can join into any algal action. I paid $1500 to this company and hasn't received anything....my biggest problem is that now I have 2 timeshares and don't know how to get rid of the one in Costa Rica, I would have never bought it had they not promised to sell my other one!

I also bought into a timeshare in 2009 & never had any luck with Executive Properties. Any company that contacts you is a scam. I learned my lesson the hard way too. There are thousands of timeshare sales on the internet For $1 or zero dollars!! People just want to get rid of them to stop the yearly fees.
I doubt that a lawsuit would work in Costa Rica. I go there a lot, but stay with friends who have nicer accommodations than Coco Sunset (I must have been drugged when I signed those papers!!!).
I did ask an attorney there what could be done & he said "not much". Of course so many attorneys there are crooked too, but I'll look into it when I'm there next month.
Let's keep in touch!!

I sent an email to Karla but I haven't heard back, is she still organizing legal action? Because I'm interested. At this point I guest I can see how I can get rid of it by trying some of the option listed in this site... Thank you for any info anyone can give me. If I stop paying the annual fee, other than losing the purchase price, are there other repercussion anyone know of?
Sandra P.
I did pay the fees, but never stayed in the condo. However, I paid the fee to exchange with Interval International ($500 for 5 yrs) & I have used that once to stay in a nice place in Sedona. It doesn't end up being any bargain though. I need to use the other weeks & will probably not continue after that.

The BBB may be able to be of assistance in these matters with the mentioned Omnicorp, Executive Properties, and/or any other company mentioned that has a location in the US. Complaints can be filed quickly online at www.bbb.org/complaint.
At the very least, the BBB will then have files on these companies and be able to report that there have been complaints. BBB works closely with local legal agencies and frequently look into unscrupulous companies.

Hi Sue, Could you give me an update from this last message? Is it still going fairly well?
My boyfriend and I were just there and bought a fractional ownership, and of course, right now, we´re worried about what we´ve done. We would greatly appreciate hearing how it has been going for you.
Sincerely, Julie

I was promised $2500 per week and I rented out my unit for 2 weeks per year. I was supposed to recieve a check in the mail in August but it came in October. The amount was supposed to be for $5000 but was $4599. It is not what I expected but I did receive it and I am not as sceptical as i once was.I am now planning my next trip to Coco Sunset and am really looking forward to visiting Coco once again. I hope this helps Sue Cotter

Sue "wrote" her note years ago. There is no doubt that she was a plant, a troll, who lied on behalf of Coco or one of its US partners. PLEASE read all the rest of the many comments on this forum, contact Karla at steilka@iowatelecom.net, or just take our word: YOU WILL NOT GET A DIME from this "investment." Not one individual has received any money EVER from any rental company -- they are all scams. We have lots of proof. If you bought less than 10 days ago you still can cancel according to Costa RIcan law. Again, email Karla today to learn more. Even if it's been more than 10 days, you still might get something back through your credit card companies (you have 60 days for this).
