Royal Hacienda
Hi,
I found this on one of the other Royal discussion groups. I did not know there was another exhance/sale/trade service for the Royal resorts. http://www.omcancun.com/ Kath
shannon191 wrote:shoram2The form you need is found by going to www.royalresorts.com and the link is http://www.royalresorts.com/members/exchange_new_eng.pdf.
You should have your member # and pin number on your membership card. Otherwise, you can request it through the Members Room part of the website.
All internal exchanges are now handled by the resort directly, and often times they can offer you something immediately. I called them directly and spoke to their internal exchange department, as we did an internal exchange this year for week 16 instead of 17. They told me over the phone that they had space available at The Royal Islander, which is the resort we wanted, and we were able to get our plans finalized quickly. I faxed the Internal Exchange form to them, and within a couple weeks, we had an exchange confirmation via email! Once the exchange was confirmed, we contacted Jesus Reyes Serpa in Inventory Control, and he filled our request for villa location. It was a very easy process! :-)
I hope this helps! Welcome to Royal Resort ownership! You'll be glad you made the decision to purchase at a Royal Resort property!

Hello! We are heading to Royal Haciendas in August (week33), and wanted to get latest updates on RH. How's the fitness center? How's the spa/massage? Any comment on the restaurants, villa, any dvds to rent, store at the resort, laundry? What to bring and what not? We are family of 5, bringing mom, and my 2 kids (18 and 9 years old0, any activities? Any review will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

The restaurants are very good but we are a family of 5 and it got a little expensive. The restaurant on the beach is the only one open for dinner. the restaurant at the pool closes at 4:00. Drinks are pretty expensive $8-9 I would suggest going to town or buing something at the market. It generally cost our family of 5 (me, husband, son 13, daughters 10 and 6) around $100 a meal to eat at the restaurant in the evening. They do have free shuttles into playa del Carmen now. They run regularly until 2:00 and then they don't have another shuttle until 5:00. You can get a cab back from Playa for around $10 but you will have to take 2 for the size of your family. The villas are beautiful and the grounds at the resort are very nice. The best part of the beach is not at the finished part of the resort but further north in front of the construction area. They did have DVD's for rent but we did not rent any. They do have quite a few activities. If you like to Scuba dive the new dive shop Dive Balam is awesome. My husband and son went on several dives and thought the dive staff was superb. They also have beach and pool volleyball and beach soccer. Hope you have a great vacation.Hello! Thanks a lot, appreciate all the tips. Just few more question, Were there entertainment at night? I am sure my husband and boys would love to do the dive. 2 years ago, we did the swim with the dolphin in acapulco, but it was quite expensive for this size of family. Do you mind sharing how much did it cost for the dive? My boys will definitely love beach soccer. Is there jetskiing or banana boat in RH? It's our first time in RH and we are celebrating my sons graduation. I cant wait for a week of R & R. Thanks for all your comments.

jiml122 wrote:Hi all, I did some research on car rental. The Royal Resorts web site http://www.royalresorts.com/carrental.stm will guide you to Elite Car Rentals as their on site agency.Got the following quotes from Elite following an e-mail request -- Sub Compact $120 USD per week Mid Size $147 USD per week Jeep Wrangler $250 USD per week Minivan $455 USD per week
Insurance is messy, first your insurance coverage from home will not cover you. You are at the mercy of the car rental company. Elite quoted the following insurance coverages -- DDW -- full coverage no deductable $34 USD per day CDW -- Collision Damage & Theft w/deductable (10% of car value) $26 per day ALI -- 3rd party damage & liability $14 USD per day
Has anyone had experience with Elite?
It will be our first time to the RH in September. I looked into cars and through the resort they are much more expensive. Try America Car Rental or Cancun Car rental, great rates with all insurance included. For a small car w/AC for a week we were quoted less then $200 and that was for no deductible and all insurance you would ever need.

I went into the members area but there's nothing fun to look at that I could find. Am I missing something? I thought we would be able to see what weeks were available for trade/internal exchange but it's only a form to fill out. I did get all excited today to see a RH available in II for September of this year. I hope after a few people exchange there and give what would have to be a great reviews the exchange value will improve within Interval.

Not much there, you didn't miss anything.

Never heard that before. Are you sure it's THE Royal Resorts group, as I've known many people to associate other Resorts called Royal Something or Other with The Royal Resorts, when in fact they aren't.
I don't doubt you, but it is news to me.
Anyone else hear of Royal Points?
